چکیده
Abstract This study aims to determine the organoletic and chemical characteristics of freshwater crayfish carapace flour. The treatment was drying in an oven at a temperature 80°C for 24 hours. parameters analyzed were amount yield, organoleptic value proximate value. Based on results study, yield 92.45%. is based percentage consumer acceptance test that likes color 98.25%, taste 95%, aroma 90%, texture with bright reddish color, savory taste, not too fishy aroma, dry smooth texture. are: water content (4.24%), protein (15.37.%), fat (2.07%), ash (4.2%), non-nitrogen extract material 1.63% crude fiber 19.86%. From data these it can be concluded flour used as fortification processed products.

Direct Age Determination of a Subtropical Freshwater Crayfish (Redclaw, Cherax quadricarinatus) Using Ossicular Growth Marks
Recent studies have reported that crustacean age determination is possible. We applied a direct ageing method (i.e. transverse cross sectioning of gastric ossicles) to a subtropical freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) sourced from an aquaculture population. Growth mark periodicity and the potential for chronological depositions were investigated by staining C. quadricarinatus with calc...
متن کاملCircadian oscillations of RPCH gene expression in the eyestalk of the crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus.
The RPCH and beta-actin cDNAs from the crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus were amplified, cloned and sequenced. The primary structure sequences of these cDNAs were compared to other members of the AKH/RPCH family. Fluctuations in the amount of the C. quadricarinatus RPCH and beta-actin mRNAs, as cDNAs, were quantified every 3h by RT-PCR. Single cosinor analysis supports the notion of beta-actin an...
متن کاملDistribution and establishment of the alien Australian redclaw crayfish, Cherax quadricarinatus, in South Africa and Swaziland
BACKGROUND The Australian redclaw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus, von Martens), is native to Australasia, but has been widely translocated around the world due to aquaculture and aquarium trade. Mostly as a result of escape from aquaculture facilities, this species has established extralimital populations in Australia and alien populations in Europe, Asia, Central America and Africa. In South...
متن کاملStimulation of molt by RNA interference of the molt-inhibiting hormone in the crayfish Cherax quadricarinatus.
In crustaceans, molting is known to be under the control of neuropeptide hormones synthesized and secreted from the eyestalk ganglia. While the role of molt-inhibiting hormone (MIH) in regulating molting has been described in several species using classical methods, an in vivo specific MIH targeted manipulation has not been described yet. In the present study, an MIH cDNA was isolated and seque...
متن کاملCharacteristics of Cyclin B and its potential role in regulating oogenesis in the red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus).
Cyclin B is a regulatory subunit of maturation-promoting factor (MPF), which has a key role in the induction of meiotic maturation of oocytes. MPF has been studied in a wide variety of animal species; however, its expression in crustaceans is poorly characterized. In this study, the complete cDNA sequence of Cyclin B was cloned from the red claw crayfish, Cherax quadricarinatus, and its spatiot...
